Glad to hear things are calming. I think they were told to clean thier roofs and gutters and prepare. Sparks (no pun intended

) can travel an amazingly long distance and start more fires.

The fires in our town lost so many homes because of the ashes landing on the homes, not that they were all in the direct line of fire. On top of that, fire creates it's own wind and shoots off in many directions.

We live in a high fire area and have been evacuated 9 times due to fire. It's an unpredictable beast and I sure hope the firefighters safely get the upper hand.

I see what you mean. I can sure understand the fire danger you live with everyday and that's hard in itself. Everything seems fine here now. I don't think the fire is burning at all from what I can see from my house.

Well I came on to tell you all that Ron is OK!!! But I see that he beat me to it. Good, you all got to find out even sooner!

Yea Ron we were really worried!!! I usually worry a little when I don't see someone on here for awhile (that posts pretty regularly) but when I pm them they have always pmed back within a week or so. When I didn't hear from you for weeks after pming you I started to get REALLY worried! Then when I finally called and didn't hear back...

well you know the rest.

I told Steve, "He's either madly in love or in the hospital"! So so happy you are OK!!! Now you know how huge an ego I have. I can't imagine someone ignoring us for that long unless something really huge is going on!

Seriously, you all feel like a part of my family, just not as weird as most of my family!

Now some of you know a few of the folks in my family and are feeling a little insulted right now! Too bad, so sad, I still feel like you are part of my family!!!

Ron I can't think of anything important that went on while you were gone. You'll just have to stop us when we say something that doesn't make sense. We'll fill you in then. WELCOME BACK!!!

Ok maybe this isn't funny at this time. A friend of mine is now homeless. She is in her 70s and was evacuated at 3am! Luckily she has a nice place to stay for now!

I wanna cry................Red Rock is an inch or so of ice. I just drove 6 miles and I am not even going to attemtp getting out of the valley. Could not even get up a friend's driveway. Unless the sun starts shining like crazy and a heat wave sweeps across - another year of no show for me

Might be different if I had traction tires, but that is not what is on my car (car flashed me the "low trac" warning as I was leaving the driveway - she is pickery than I am

)
