So sheryl, is it in your cc&r's no roosters? Because in city regs, roosters aren't specified just the noise issue for any animal--if it's a nuisance and someone complains, you'd have an issue. I don't want to have roosters and annoy my neighbors but if I were in a rural area, I would be tempted for sure.

HI everyone. I am currently visiting NV. I flew into Vegas yesterday, and I am driving out to Mesquite in a few minutes. I found a dog in the shelter out there, and I am going to take Jet the Black Russian Terrier home with me tonight. We are scheduled to fly out just after 9pm tonight. If anything goes wrong I may be back here begging for help.lol I am praying that this has been a good idea, and that I won't have any troubles today. Thanks for letting me pop in and say Hi to all.

Here are my chicks from Candy. They are so quiet and well behaved! 6 chicks is way easier than 25!

How exciting Christina!!! I had to laugh though when you said you were hoping for no troubles. New dog, traveling, airports etc, etc. Sounds like a hitch or two is inevitable but you sound more than able to handle a challenge or two. Anyone adventurous enough to travel by plane to go pick up a new shelter pet must be made of pretty sturdy stuff! I will keep my fingers crossed for your trip to progress as smooth as silk though! Hey, it's not been my experience with airlines but it could happen!
