IDK about bantams and LF together Seth. I've never tried it. Now you have me curious about what cause you were promoting but since you're not allowed to mention stuff like that on here I won't ask. BYC doesn't want folks using their forum to make money or to raise money so don't tell me what it was or you might get in trouble again. You probably weren't trying to do that at all but if the video contained anything that did then you are responsible for linking it. Oh well you live, you learn.

Wait you said you posted it, not linked? Here on BYC? Well at least someone has figured out how to embed a video. Cool! I've never even posted on you tube.

I was going to post about how you could look the video up on Youtube, but would that be promoting it?

Well, spring is definitely the time to be on this site. I love the chick news and pictures! Congrats to everyone and I can't wait to see pics when you get the babies home.

I'm leaving for a few weeks to do field work with my lizards, so I'll be feeding my chicken love with your pics and news. My poor boyfriend is going to be a single chick dad for awhile. Honestly, I think he's glad to have them, because they're something to do. Just watch, I'll leave him with 8 chicks and come home and somehow we will have 8 more. He really likes the laced wyandottes... Maybe that's what we will get next time.

Sorry to hear about your warning Seth. If I remember correctly there are BLRW bantams for sale that will work out. I'm not sure if a LF will work with bantams. Perhaps it would workout if they are raised together.

Aubrey I think the box idea will work for you.

You should be able to find ACV with the mother in it at any store, I know SaveMart carries it just not sure if it's Braggs or not? If it's for the chickens then any ACV should do. I know a lot of people are saying it should have the mother in it, I'm just not sure if that's accurate or not.

Just have to share...

My new favorite chicken is Shawarma, the buff orpington. It's so heartwarming to see her head turn the moment you step outside, then have her run up to greet you. Yesterday, she almost followed me into the house. Though she doesn't enjoy being held as much as the australorps do, she's always happy to see me. Tater (one of the dogs) has even found competition with her. When Shawarma comes around, Tater suddenly hugs my legs for attention.

Original used to be my favorite, but I'm now recognizing that she's only using me for treats. When she sees that I don't have any, she wants nothing to do with me.

Cacciatore, the welsummer, is the smallest, sweetest, and most docile. She doesn't come up to me, even with a really good reason, but when I do get hold of her, she doesn't struggle or complain. But Original, that gold-digging biddie, feels the need to pick on her whenever she can.

Oh no Stevie! You two will be like Hubby and I. We both love chickens so neither one holds the other back!

Oh well. Who knows? Maybe it's our ability to enable each other so well that makes us work. haha

As many chickens as we are getting we better work really hard to keep them happy. I'm having flashbacks of the story "Animal Farm".
