Squirt is in the office in his own rubbermaid tub (clear) so he can see the other chicks and they can see him, He finally settled down a bit and was dust bathing like crazy earlier, something I hadn't seen him do since he has been in the house. To be honest I rather enjoyed having him sleep in my bed with me. DH and I sleep in seperate bedrooms because of my restless legs and arms and his snoring we just can't seem to share a bed LOL. I think squirt would agree to loving sleeping in a nice warm bed rather then in a lonely box by himself. I only share this with you guys, if my family knew they would have me committed!

Buy some new chicks, she should get along with the younger ones and you can raise the batch together.
Usually just one older one will not pick on a group of chicks, at least that has been my experience.
Otherwise try what the other poster suggested about putting her in there at night, keep an eye on it though to be sure.
I find that although there are some that will get picked on it works itself out in the end.

I hatched out one lone Serama last year, and since my other feed store chicks were already six weeks old, integration was not an option. So, Serama-mama I became, and Serama-mama I remain. At night, I tried tucking him under his feather duster in the brooder after wrapping him in a soft bit of cloth, and once in a great while, if I took my hand out very gently, he'd stay asleep. 99.8% of the time, though, he'd cry and cry and make both of us crazy. Eventually I cut a hole in a small box, lined it with soft cloth, and slept every night for weeks with my hand in that box, holding that needy little bugger. I had (and still have) cats that insisted on sleeping with me, so the box was both to keep him safe from the kitties' interest, and keep him contained so he wouldn't fall behind the bed or get lost in the bedding. When I had to go to work or run errands, I had to have my mom 'chicksit'.

It was a lot of work, but out of it I got a sweet, friendly, funny companion who I wouldn't trade for anything.

Incidentally, he's still in the house. I'm currently sewing him a fresh wardrobe of chicken diapers.

He does spend a couple hours outside every day with the couple members of my flock that I trust won't beat up on him, doing chickeny things.

Good luck with your little one!

I tried again to put squirt in the brooder with the others in an isolated area with a reptile bulb and guess what? It didn't work

He ended up in bed with me again. My DH said last night sheesh we have never had such a noisy vocal chick before is there something wrong with it? I told him no it's just lonely. He was tucked in snug as a bug in a rug in his favorite fleece blanket where he remained without a peep all night. I kept putting my hand in there to make sure he wasn't suffocating and he got upset with me for bugging him lol. I woke up extra early so I could get a shower in before squirt woke up for the day. He is now in my pocket watching me type and grooming my chin LOL.
