Welcome! You know? Silkies can be used for many purposes:
1. Living, floor feather dusters.
2. Warm feathered slippers. Just drop seed on your bare feet to get a free massage and warmth.
3. General entertainment for snuggling, and laughter.
You get the idea.. They are considered "by me" to be the Poodles of the poultry world.

Welcome to BYC! I too am a big fan of silkies— so far they’re my favorite breed! My silkie rooster is my only chicken who enjoys being touched or picked up. Will relax in your lap outside if you let him.

I definitely plan on getting more silkies!
