I'm trying to design a dress for my year 12 formal. I want something that's going to stand out. And I hate black.

Youre not an outcast. You are here with all of us. If you dont do anything that mainstream thinks isnt right you are labeled outcast. Thats just being yourself. I always told my kids to be their own person, not like everyone else and I have pretty unique kids. My family thinks I'm nuts for having all the animals I have, but they sure dont mind getting fresh eggs.

I have always been different and I prefer it that way. The saying the more I am around people the more I like my animals is true.

Welcome to the club. I generally feel like an alien "chameleoning" (that ought to be a word) my way among the human race. Never really belonged until I met the Princess and my blood brother Ken (yep, it's true. Budweiser poptops got the job done). Perhaps they are aliens too? You just haven't met the right people yet, although I am sure most of the people replying here (Redhen for sure) are firm members of the club.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I just see the world differently. The outdoors, nature, animals always took precedence over group activities. I don't understand "lonely" or "boredom"== they don't exist for me? As a kid it was difficult, but as I matured, I embraced my differences. I have come to really like the person that I am and have been blessed with a "real family" and true friends.​
