Probably ate them. She is still sitting and 3 weeks hatch date will be June 11th. She is by herself in a separate large cage with food & water.

They are on day 5 of her sitting. I believe she ate the other 3 of 6 fertile eggs. I will look up how to candle.Well it is possible the eggs were not viable. Can you candle the remaining eggs? You will be able to see if they are growing or not. BTW, what day are they on?
Hold a bright flashlight up to the big end of egg. You need to be in a dark area. At five days you should see veins in the egg. This is a screenshot of my pics in the egg candling contest. 1st one is a day 5, and 2nd is several days later. My eggs were white. It is harder to see into dark eggs, but you should be able to see veins on Day 5.They are on day 5 of her sitting. I believe she ate the other 3 of 6 fertile eggs. I will look up how to candle.

Moving a broody can be tricky, she may abandon her eggs and go back to the original spot. Are they harassing her? Laying eggs in her nest?People on here, do you think I should move my hen to the other side of the coop? there is more room and away from the other birds.
They aren't harassing herMoving a broody can be tricky, she may abandon her eggs and go back to the original spot. Are they harassing her? Laying eggs in her nest?
I am in a new experiment. My broody hen has been moved to a secure large cage all by herself with food & water. She was pissed for the 1st hour but has settled in nicely. I'm hoping to have a couple of chicks on June 11th, the 21 day hatch time.Moving a broody can be tricky, she may abandon her eggs and go back to the original spot. Are they harassing her?
