We decided to get chickens after we got hooked on the fresh eggs we were getting from a co-worker. So we got 6 chicks and soon got 6 more because we were having so much fun. We had to put on down because he got mareks disease...so sad...he was the most loveable. Now we are just waiting for EGGS!!! Its funny to learn their personalities and be able to tell them apart even though some are the same breed. We are still trying to figure out exactly what their breeds are and if some of them may possibly be roosters...long story (thread called boys or girls). Either way we love them all and they are alot of fun. Who would have thought that we loved chickens...and not on a plate!

Don't feel bad. I am up to 87 fowl. Polish chickens, Easter Eggers, Guinea, and a Foundling Mallard duck.

we will be adding 4 ducks (various breeds) in the end of july. haha. never would have thought I would have so much fun with these animals!!
