I would. Think its probably already loose from the looks of it. Just use your best DR voice and say this is going to sting a little. Silly duck afraid of her own feather.

I tried and I couldn't after running away from it for a few minutes one of her other duck friends helped her

If it is loose you might remove it for her, but I would try to tuck it back in first.
