New ‘breed’ needs a ‘breed specific’ name

Hey guys!

I am working on a small breeding ‘project’ for a ‘breed’ I have created myself!


This is how it is working so far...

Rhode Island RedXBlue Orpington X pure blue Orpington hens.


I’ve ‘created’ this ‘breed’ simply for my own needs. I don’t plan on selling the birds (unless someone really wants one).


Yes, I am aware this isn’t a ‘true’ breed but, it is one of my own.


I need name suggestions for this ‘breed’.


I will make a poll when I get enough suggestions.

Are they F1 (first generation) crosses or will they breed true meaning if you breed the cock to the hen will the pullet chicks be blue and the cockerel chicks red?

I haven’t yet incubated since him. He was the only Hatcher....
So I’ll have to wait and see!
ETA: The hen in the pictures is the ‘blue orp’ I was talking about, meaning she is not mixed, but the ‘offspring’ will be...

Although, it may be until January before incubate this ‘designer breed’ (due to me having schooling and classes )

I voted for Rhode island Orps as I think that is clearest and the colours may be funny in the chicks so at least this way it isn't suggesting a colour which they may not end up being!
