New addition to our homestead

We regularly stop in to visit a farm that's a few miles away from us. Yesterday when we stoped buy they said they had s suprise for us. We went in to one of the barns and they had a new baby calf the night before. Then we went to another barn and they had close to 20 baby lambs with more due over the next few weeks. This is where our suprise comes in. They brought out a 3 day old lamb to show us. They told us her mother died just after giving birth and asked us if we would like to have her. Needless to say we said YES!

We went home with her, milk replacer, bottles and hay. She spent the night in our brooder box and today she is running around playing with the the dogs as happy as can be. Today I will be building her a pen and when the winter is over I will be building her a house and fencing off an area for her.
