I'm sure they'll figure it out, but...

My new additions have started gong into the coop on their own, but they refuse to exit unless I leave the big door open for them to jump out. They won't go out the hatch underneath. Any tricks?

Now... Seemingly more concerning to me is that one of the original girls (15 month old EE) has picked up this... Habit (?) as well. She no longer leaves the coop with the rest of the original flock of girls, and she no longer roosts with them, she hangs out on the lower rungs. Maybe unrelated, she seems to be doing strange things with her neck.... Holding it kind of funny.

The older girls have had no issues, and the young ones will happily jump out of the door, as well as climb up into the hatch. 🤷🏻‍♂️
Some pics of this 'hatch' might help here....
...from both inside and outside the coop.

Thanks for the pics.
Hatch does seems rather small, and a ramp might serve better than the steps.
But if it's worked so far and you don't want to change it, you might just have to be patient until they figure it out...or give them a bit a shove to get them started.
