Hi

This is my first time on a forum. I live in Michigan's UP near Lake Superior and will be getting five duckling the beginning of April. 3 Pekin, 1 Cayuga and 1 Black Swedish. I am sooooo excited. I have been searching out as much information as I can so my little gals are as safe and happy and healthy as they can be. I know I have a lot to learn from you and really, already have which is why I decided to join up. Thank you for sharing your experiences. This will be a fun adventure and I am looking forward to the journey!

Cheers

Welcome!

As you have already received some great starting points from Ken I will just wish you all the best!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends

Hello from Kansas, yooperducker, and

! Pleased you joined our community! Ducks are indeed a blast - they have a huge water demand and can be messy, but if you have the space they really add character to the farm yard. I hope you enjoy yours!

She is a year and a half old Walker Fox/Boykin Spaniel Mix. I think she got the best of both breeds. She is a 40 pound delight. She is very gentle in nature and respectful of animal body language (especially cats). I am hoping her introduction to the ducklings will be the beginning of a potential friendship moving forward. I am encouraged by her interaction with a very tiny 7 week old Boston Terrier recently.

Hello there, and my warmest welcome to the flock! I am quite pleased you decided to join us, please pull up a chair and make yourself at home here! I hope you enjoy it here as much as I have! :frow
