New (almost) chicken owner from East Tn!

Hello everyone. I’m new to the BYC scene. My SIL has had chickens the last couple years and my husband and I have taken 9 of her eggs and we’ve put them in the incubator. We lost one on day 7 and we’re currently on day 9. We’re buying a coop and run off of a friend and I’m going to get supplies for the brooder box tomorrow. We are so excited especially my son (8) and daughter (4). A little about us….I’m a nurse and my husband does excavating in Seymour/Blount county TN. We’ve been married 11 years and we sold our house in a neighborhood when the market was up and have been living in a fifth wheel the last 2.5 years. We are working on building a house on our property. I recently got into bread making and have got a great sandwich loaf recipe if anyone needs. And now we are doing chickens!! So excited to be here and ready to learn!!
