New and 1st P.O. disaster...or.

Hi all,
We are new to chickens and hatching, bought a used Lg and it just arrived, w/disasterous results....

here are some pics, does it look like a p.o. "malfunction"

packing eggs peanuts.

I also received in a different box the eggs to go with it and they seemed to be in good shape, but now eggs and no incubater!!!

n e thoughts?
We're crushed...
Now off to cutlers I guess to see if we can get an incubator in 2 days so these eggs at least have a chance, or should we do omlettes....?

Is the outside of the box crushed? Was it insured?

You can buy replacement tops and bottoms for hovabators but I don't know about LG's.

, it was in great condition, no crinkles or anything.

I don't know about replacement parts either, and in such short notice..
I saw where cutlers has a 2 day shipping, need to get one.
Devastated here.....

The box doesn't look damaged at all. It almost looks like it was put in the box that way.

yea, I could maybe understand it if it was broken in half, such as crushed, like one of the pieces broken in half, but it looks torn by hand in pieces....

I looks like the person that sent it to you put it in the box wrong. I just bought an LG at Bomgaars. The top and bottom were stacked together so it fit just right in the box. It looks like who ever packed that box didn't put one piece inside the other. They probably just put them back to back and it was too wide for the box. Can you buy one locally?

yea, maybe back to back was too wide for the box and they had to "push" to get it in and it crushed? If that was it, I wish they would have emailed to tell me it had broken, refunded money, something, etc, feel horrible... I understand stuff happens sometimes.
Still bummed.

According to the Tractor Supply website they have a store near you (in Richmond). I just called them. They have one incubator in stock. It is $41.23. I doubt you can order one cheaper.

I'm so sorry. I have to sayit's hard to tell if it was poor packing or the PO did that.. being foam it wouldn't take a whole lot to break it without damaging the outside of the box. Did you get it from ebay and have you contacted the person you bought it from. I've bought 2 bators and shipped one, all came / shipped in the original box with no extra packing and they arrived perfectly.

Cutler is great, I just got a Geneis from them and it arrived in 2 days.

We have one in Eaton too, Looks like a trip to the Tractor supply today.
Then we can let the eggs sit til tomorrow and put them in.
We have other eggs coming too so we can get this going and still maybe not be lost.
