hi
after a few years keeping chickens we have our first ever ducklings, they are 16 days old and have grown masses already. I have read just about everything available in preperation for having them but still have questions. they seem happy enough, lots of squeeking feeding and pooing. but they look so scruffy.is this normal? they seem to be constantly looking wet yet their bedding is changed twice a day, and the water feeder is only deep enough for them to drink from. some of their feathers look like they have hair gel in them,is this how they are menat to look on route to developing proper feathers not duckling down?
be very grateful to hear from anyone who has an idea and stop me fretting.. its meant to warm up a bit now so they may get to venture outside for an hour or so later
hello by the way,
