Hi and welcome to BYC! We're so glad you joined us! Is there a feed store in your area, something like a Tractor Supply? Most feed stores sell chicks this time of year. I really hope you're able to find some in time for your little girl's birthday!

Welcome to BYC! I know some people may be biased against this, but depending on your state regulations, TSC allows you to buy a minimum of 4 at a time and depending on their orders, usually has a selection of a few breeds to choose from. Good luck!

Hello and welcome to BYC! A lot of people have started raising chickens since the coronavirus hit us. Baby chicks are in very high demand and supplies are limited not only with the volume of demand but there are also shipping issues, First you need an honest assessment of the capacity of your coop to determine how many chickens you can comfortably keep. Check with your states thread to see if someone closer to your area may be able to give you a hand. I'm sure this is frustrating now, but it will get better.
