Hi! I have 3 girls all 25 weeks old. I have 1 Buff Orph, 1 Barred Rock, & 1 White Rock. We got our very first egg on Thanksgiving and we were very excited. Since then we have gotten 1 egg a day. Each day, the eggs all looked the same except today. The one we got today was a little darker and speckled. I know that the Barred Rock was the one laying because we saw her do it almost each time but I have not seen the other two lay yet. I know I might not get any eggs from then till spring but I was wondering if the same hen can lay eggs that look different. (solid looking and speckled looking). This is our first time ever having chickens so any help with this would be very much appricated. Thank You!

Yes they wil sometimes lay different looking eggs depending on their nutritional intake. Like if you are giving them oyster shells their eggs will have little white specks on them.
