We've raised chickens on and off since the early 1980's. This time it has been about 15 years since we had chickens. So we are having to refresh our memories on what and how. We have 13 black sextons. 12 hens 1 rooster. One bantam rooster that we were given by neighbors. (He's a old rooster). 4 miniature bearded bantams. (2 hens and 2 roosters). Decided about a month ago to try our luck with hatching some. Had 3 to hatch out during the night. Grandchildren are really excited to be helping.
