New at being a chicken mom

Hello. I got 3 silkie chicks three months ago. My husband and I built the coop and run and my son helps me care for them. We are having a blast watching them grow up and run around the backyard (only when we're out there with them, as we have a lot of hawks flying around). One of them has turned out to be a rooster and that is not allowed where we live. He is very sweet and the hens love him. He has just started to crow (he's 4 months old now), and we are trying the rooster collar but it isn't working well enough. I need to find a way to rehome him as a pet. I saw there is a thread here for rehomimg so I'm hoping I can post there. Does anyone have other suggestions on how to find him a good home? Thanks!

Hi and welcome to BYC The rehoming thread is a good starting point... Also look at your state thread and try to find other BYCers near you but where they can keep a roo. Best of luck.
