I suggest cutting a few holes in the wall that the tarp is on, along the roofline.

I suggest cutting a few holes in the wall that the tarp is on, along the roofline.

There is a large triangle shaped opening... the coop is square, so the room in between the top of it and the pointed roof of the shed is all open... there is just chicken wire to keep predators out. We put a board over it when it gets really cold because it is so open.

Open is good. Don't close it. It's high enough up, that it's not a risk for drafts. Just good ventilation.
