I'm so sorry someone dumped sick birds on you. The gurgling most certainly sounds like a respiratory infection. As @janiedoe mentioned, most birds that recover from most respiratory infections are carriers for life and show symptoms of illness when stressed and spread it to other birds.
I would consider humanely euthanizing those birds and hope you haven't inadvertently brought the infection into your flock.
You can start a new thread for them in the ER Forum with pictures and video and get other opinions on a course of action. I'm very sorry for both you and those birds.
