Hi,

I have been reading this site off and on for some time now. Lots of good info on here.
However, I am not too adept at forums and threads, I may never find what I post!

We, my husband and I, got our chickens two months ago. 4 Barred Rock and 1 Unknown. (I think it is a Houdan).
But the problem is me, you see, I just could not wait to get my chicks. I got them at a local feed store-hey they were gonna die there!
So now it seems I will have 3 roo's, and I am so disappointed. I can't have Roo's where I live, and last time I checked, they don't lay eggs.
When I re-home them, it will be starting over. Ugh....

I will try and post pics of them, maybe someone can confirm their sex for me.

Later!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Sorry about so many of your chicks possibly being roosters, so disappointing when that happens. You can try posting their pictures on the What Breed Or Gender Is This forum for help with sexing them https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this You might also post in your state thread for local homes for them if they are roos https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread and When you have 20 posts you can place Ads in the Buy-Sell-Trade forum, they have a section for animals that need rehomed etc.

You can post photos and we'll do our best at guessing. You may have better luck posting on
"what breed or gender is this," thread. If you do, it's best to have individual photos of each to make it less confusing. A nice clear head shot (front) to show any comb development/color. Also a side view hopefully of a chick standing.
