Additionally, a teddy or sock may cause more harm than a feather duster if they try to eat any loose threads you may not have inspected for.
Because they WILL play with and mouth string.
But again... If you are diligent, the likelyhood of a teddy or sock causing problems is the same (if not minisculy higher) than a natural feather duster in my opinion.
I don't think you could go wrong with any of those options, as long as you inspect them first.
Also, I love mirrors.
And, playing music will help too
I had a lone survivor of an incubator malfunction, and she would cry because she was lonely.
I put on music and she calmed down significantly

I gave them their mirror back and gave them a stuffy. They cuddle the mirror and pretty much use the stuffy as an obstacle course lol. Today I brought them into the bathroom and sat on the floor with my legs out and they were hopping up and down off my legs. I didn't realize ducks could jump like that! I have a camera the looks down into their brooder and it recorded one running and jumping over the stuffy! Completely cleared it hahaha and peas are making a huge difference. They don't act like I'm coming to murder them when I walk in the room now lol

Hello everyone,

This might be a dumb question... Do they need to be able to reach the bottom of their water dish? Do they drop the food to the bottom and fish it out? Or do they keep the food in their mouth and pick up water? I gave them a dish deep enough to fit their bill and they were finishing it so quickly that I gave them a deeper dish but now they can't reach the bottom and a ton of food ends up at the bottom. Now I'm worried if they're able to eat properly if the dish is TOO deep.

Definitely normal and nothing to worry about..
