New Babies "on the Farm"!

This is the largest mixed crew of chicks I've raised so I snapped some pics to (attempt to) keep track of them! It was also my first time with mail order chicks (one poor darling didn't make it to me) but they're all doing great a week later!

....or at least I think those are properly labeled...haha there are so many different chipmunk markings and they already look different than they did the day before, haha! The only chipmunks I've raised before were what I was told were two Welsummer pullets - who are actually two cockerels, a Welly and a Brown Leghorn!

Thanks @N F C and @drumstick diva ! I went all out with picking out unique and beautiful breeds...I'm now up to 22 different kinds of birds in my flock! (unless you count all four of my EE's as different) I can't wait to see these babies all grown up with my others, and I'm so excited to have a super colorful basket of eggs each week!!

Hahaha thanks. It's my kids playmat actually. We have about ten different ones that make up a whole world and act as a carpet...we keep the brooder out in the garage which we've converted to a playroom. I was trying to take pictures of them in my lap when my three year old son said "Mom! Bring the baby chickies to the farm!" Haha...it was a brilliant idea that I can take no credit for.

Your son had a great idea!! I always keep old bed sheets around and lay them down when the chicks need a break from the brooder. I need a "farm" sheet like yours!
