New babies - pics... what are we?

The last one is a Hamburg, the Silkie is a Silkie and boy/girl - Too young to say.

The multicolored one is either some sort of Cornish or an Easter Egger.

The first one is a Production Red or Sex-Link.

Illia - does the same apply to bantams???

Sorry, forgot - That makes the last one a Silver Sebright.

The rest are as is except if the first is a bantam it is something else, although the multi-colored one might be a D'Anvers. It all depends where these came from and what types of combs they have.

Illia - they're all banties...

The first three came from Atwoods (ranch store) / whatever hatchery they use, I don't know....

Atwoods uses Ideal Hatchery. They usually post a paper some where around the brooders about the hatchery and the sanitary steps they use to keep the brooders clean and the chicks healthly as well. I love Atwoods! They are very careful. I'm in Kansas, for some reason I was thinking Atwoods were only here in KS. Maybe they are everywhere.

Hey Hawkeye -- we used to go to Derby, KS, Atwoods all the time when we lived up there

And yup, they're spread out a little more - OK, KS, TX, AR and one in MO!

I didn't see any paper around the brooders, but then i wasn't really looking, either... just trying to pick out the chicks is challenging enough (too many too cute!). Luckily the selection was limited, otherwise I would have come home with ten, unable to decide...

I'm going to check what Ideal hatchery has in their selection - it might help with figuring out the breeds

I've been looking through the Ideal website and I'm thinking the light/reddish colored one could be a White Laced Red Cornish Bantam???

It looks just like their baby pic

Derby! I do all of my shopping there! I don't like to drive all the way into Wichita if I can help it- but Derby is a great compromise! Yeah, lots of Saturdays are spent at Atwoods for some reason or other.
