Yesterday, before bed, we had 10 bitties with one mama (Rider) and 3 bitties with the other (Fluffy). This is Fluffy's 4th hatch, she's Rider's mama. This is Rider's second hatch. I had to take Rider's first due to her being done at 3 weeks with 4 bitties. We'll see if I have to step in this time. Count today is 4 with Fluffy and 11 with Rider. I'm contemplating giving some of Rider's to Fluffy since she's a great, experienced mama but idk. Just wanted to share all the cuties. Rider had 11 eggs and hatched all of them. Fluffy had 8 eggs, the others stepped on one and cracked it with a nearly developed chick then ate it so I brought the kennels into the coop and put her in one with the remaining eggs. She has 4 bitties and has 3 eggs under her but I don't think they'll hatch. I'm giving them til tomorrow. I may candle tonight. Anyway, here are the cuties!!
Rider's clutch of 11. The black baby with the white face in the back corner between the blonde and reddish baby has THE fluffiest cheeks!!! I can't get over how adorable they are!
Fluffy and her bitties. The black one has the tiniest bit of feathers on it's legs. The light one in the middle has full boots. Definitely brahma bits. The blonde with the dots on the head took over 24 hours to hatch. It was pipped yesterday morning and didn't hatch til early this morning. I gave some electrolytes since it seemed to struggle. Doing better though. It kept ending up on its back so I've been checking throughout the day.
