It's summer in Australia, and it is actually so hot if I step outside for more than 5 minutes I get sweat beads...EVERYWHERE...

I can't wait for autumn. Finally, some cooler weather...less allergens for my hayfever-ish nose and of course APPLES!!!

The winters here in the OC are not bad, we never get snow, and the summers are very good. almost never going over 100. so its a great place to raise chickens and ducks. So i get to hang out with them everyday!!!

Sounds amazing!! One day I'd love to live out in the country, but can't yet (don't want to leave my "nest" yet either

), but so far I'm doing okay with 2 roosters living about 30 mins away from the harbour bridge

So far my amazing neighbours haven't complained. But if they do.........

Also, you have ducks?? Awesome! I can't have ducks but are looking at geese with their huge eggs and dog-butt-biting personality....

Amazingly beautiful chicks.

I have a broody on 8 eggs right now. I hope I have at least 4 on February 15th.

Do all of your little yellow chicks have the same color legs? They look yellow in the pic. If so, they're probably white rock. Buff orpingtons have whiteish pink skin on their legs. Definately two barred rocks (the grey black), and the two brownish ones look to be RIR's. So pretty much:
Looks like you got two Barred Rocks (the two black ones) two RIR, and six White Rocks (guessing on the white rocks, they look too light to be Orps, but maybe someone who has raised Orps would know better)
