New babies

Hi, I'm cheryl. I just brought my new babies home. Have never done this before. I'm very worried that I'm not doing things right. The temp in the brooder is 95. There is food and water for them> Wil they find it themselves, or do I need to show them. I don't know how baby chicks act. Help. I want to be a good mom.

First of all,

Relax and enjoy them!!! Sounds like you got everything right so far. You can dunk their beaks in the water, then they should be ok on their own.

You should dip each chicks beak into the water and I always scatter feed on the bottom of the brooder until they get the hang of eating.
