New Babies

Hello,
last week I lost one of my year old RIR hens to pneumonia and Ecoli( I sent her to Davis) to be tested for West Nile Virus. Anyways..I got 2 new baby RIR and theya re too cute.

No names yet as I just call them 'Sister Chickens" and we will take it from there.

Cute. On a side note, chickens don't really get west Nile. Actually they're used to see if west Nile is in the area because they immediately develop antibodies.

santa clara county has a flock of chickens and 1 of theirs actually contracted WNV.

They're a sentinel species used by the centers for disease control.
