New baby chicks

Last week I got 10 baby chicks from my pet chicken and so far all of them are happy and healthy! I have
1 Australorp
3 Speckled Sussex
2 Jersey Giants
2 Easter Eggers
2 Golden Campine
I’ve had Easter Eggers before but never had I had any of the other breeds so I’m excited to raise new types of chickens! It’s been so long since I had chicks ( my latest batch was 2 yrs ago) but this bunch makes my fourth time raising chickens! My big flock is only down to 3 birds now because the others died of natural causes/ predators(neighbors dogs or raccoons)We keep our big chickens in the enclosed coop/run at night but let them free range all day ( we live on the edge of a swamp so there is plenty of woods for them to explore) I let the little ones out once a day so they can get used to this schedule. My chicks currently live in the garage in a kiddie pool surrounded by wire and a wire roof!

The only problem I have is I have a hard time telling the difference between the Jersey giant chics and the australorp if anyone can help me out with that I would appreciate it!

Cute chicks! Wishing them the best health. Is it safe to let the chickens free range all day by themselves or do they free range under supervision?

black jersey giants have yellow feet (bottoms of their feet). Australorps have pale feet (bottoms of their feet). Yes, they look similar. I posted some info about this a few weeks ago. I’ll try adding the link.

It’s not safe unless we are watching them and I don’t have the time to watch them all day
