New baby homing doves

Hi Everybody. I announce the new discovery of a pair of baby white doves born several days ago from one of my mating pairs, BLUEY and Marshmellow. Here’s is my question…I live in Midwest Minnesota, not too far from Fargo, ND (for those who might have watched the movie “Fargo”) and it has been horribly cold. The parents are doing a fantastic job of keeping their babies warm. I feed them a black sunflower seed, cracked corn, and oats mix and fluffy snow for moisture. I have never had my birds hatch during the winter. I do my very best by having the cages covered to keep windchill out. Both parents are keeping them warm working together side by side in the nest. I am asking if there is anything else I could add or do to their feed to enhance the “milk” they feed their babies. I was told the sunflowers are protein and corn is for body heat. What else ? The windchill has been in the 30-40 degrees below zero at night with normal temps from -18 to single digits for a high. So whatever they are doing seems to be working. Any advice is appreciated.

Maybe some warm cooked oatmeal and warm water? Can you put a heater in their cage? Not a lamp heater. Light can stress them.
Do you have a dove or pigeon seed mix? Put some of that in there so they have a chose of what the would like to eat.
