Welcome to Backyard Chickens great house ducks like making messes chickens make mud not a great idea to put them in the same coop in my view

Only choice I need a dozen eggs duck or chicks a week.. otherwise will be 375 degrees F for an hour and twenty min or so ea.. But that may make the wife of 24 Years in June hate me!!!

Now I built a Coop Condo it will be stained purple yep wife wnts it that!!! (Yes, Pet Safe!) !Home Depot and Harbor Freight in the morning!

I need 12+ Farm animals to get A FARM structure exemption!~ From the County!! As I am not City "yert" But County and A "Urban Growth" Area! Yep, For maybe a few more years before I am annexed to the "City" but I can and will grandfather myself as an " Urban Farm Stead" Gonna Happen! Just need some Chickens!!

Think the run is ok for 6-9 chickens + 3 ducks and maybe some Cornish Feeders.

I commend you for taking this on, many of us have started with 5 or 9 or 12 birds quickly that number increases it is called chicken math your three ducks would be happy with igloo dog house this is my no duck person I do know how messy they are that is all I am saying ... I have a friend I got into birds she has 6 hens then she got ducks she hates what the ducks do in her nesting boxes but it is her choice .. others do the same I like clean nesting boxes

Got the Duck House Moved!! It was heavier then though will be roofing it tomorrow! Finished unstained photo should be Friday. Wife wants it stained purple.. So be it!

Close Enough to where i can get them out of my shop need to finishing touches but i can get them done in a few days.. Need to Hinge the Coop Lid!! And Board Off the Gable Ends.. and put on the roofing just had tar paper on there now.. .

I learned a lot of what not to do LOL.... I

Still not in its Final Resting Place.. Need to figure out vents still!!

Since the structure is not level the door is out of wack... will be level sunday when we Move it in to its final resting spot.

Should have put a little more though in the rafters for gutters and extended the 2X4 to the soffit...

They will be a lot happier with someone to feed and water them regulatory they already adventured in to the house.

Be sure everything is covered in hardware cloth tiny preds can get through 1" spaces. It's looking really good. I bet they think they have died and gone to ducky heaven.
