Hello all, John here, new to BYC!
1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, my wife and I are new to this! We bought our first babies about 8 weeks ago now.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 5 hens, 2 ducks, and 2 turkeys.
(3) What breeds do you have?
We have 1 white leghorn (we had a second that died within a day of bringing her home), 2 buff orphingtons, 2 cinnamon queens, 2 Peking ducks, and 2 broad white turkeys.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
For me, building their coops.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Finding things to do outside.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Found BYC through Facebook. I’m looking to connect with the community as a whole but also my local community.
