Howdy everyone,
My partner and I recently completed our backyard chicken coop (based on this design), and last week got our very first chicks! It's a mama hen and her 9 little chicks. Farmer Sue who sold them to us is going to allow us to keep the whole flock until we figure out which chicks are hens and which are roosters, then we'll give back the mama and the ones we don't want. We're aiming for 3 or 4 layers.
Here they are (though they're growing fast):
Happy backyard chickening from Cobourg, Ontario, Canada!
