New Barred Rock owner

Does anyone have any problems with your Barred Rocks during the winter.

Laying straw in coop/run in winter may provide more warmth. Using Peat and adding zeolite to bedding will reduce ammonia build up from droppings. Careful with types of electrical heat sources you use to reduce risk of fire.

Plastic over windows help insulate and protect from drafts in winter. Still leave some ventilation in ceiling of coop. Also using curtains around windows and pop doors will block drafts to protect against frostbite. Make sure chickens can still use pop door. Mostly just keep clean and dry.

Yes for 3 weeks now. I get 5 or 6 eggs a day. I don't think all are laying yet but they seem to be laying in the same box. Which I think is strange.
Not strange. When I had 8 they only used 1 of the 4 nesting boxes available and finally use 2 of now 6 available for 14. They stand near and wait till another is done rather than use another box. Looks like they’re standing in line at a bathroom. Lol.
