Hey,
Congratulations on building a success incubator. I admire people who aren't afraid of constructing something on their own. Maybe I'll trying making a bator some time. Your pictures are inspiring me
The chickies look so cute! You must be very proud
I like to control things under specified condition. Commercial incubator is good for ppl. who don't want to mess with diy. However, I have yet seen a bator that is digital and is user friendly. After a little research and couple of hours testing out some temp. sensor. I got everything together over the weekend. I think this forum is great, especially for those who are new to raising chicken/quail or anything this sort. I loved it. Right now I am trying to make my thermostat smaller and easier to construct. If enough ppl. are interested, I can mass produce this thing, give them to some high school student to assemble. Meanwhile they will learn how this thing work and raise a little money for their project. I haven't start this yet. Eventually, I think my thermostat will replace those wafer thermostat in the commercial incubator and the hot water thermostat.
But, all of the above was just my plan. With my master degree and my work. I have little time to work on anything. Is anyone here in high school/college and into electronic who want to make a science/senior project out of this. I think it will be a good project and if u are interested, I can answer some of your questions.
Well, 30 hatched now. I am moving them to the brooder and going to bed. Hopefully, when morning come I can put them all in the brooder be4 I go to work.
Guess what I am doing in Veteran's Day...
