New blonde girlfriend leads to jealousy

Funny I was just thinking last night that my birds are now 25, almost 26 weeks old and I expect it will be another month at least before the EEs start laying. All my other pullets are about to lay or are laying.

Your EEs are very pretty.

My EE, Bertha, started right at 30-31 weeks. I think that's about the norm for them. Bertha also lays a somewhat greener egg, not really an olive, more of a light sage green would be more accurate. Our other EE, Lola, lays a beautiful aqua blue egg. She had already started laying when she came to live with us but had started laying around 30 weeks, as well, according to the lady I got her from.

Those of you still in wait mode, it'll happen soon! And those gorgeous eggs are SO worth waiting for. It's even better that they're sweet birds and make wonderful pets.

Wow I just came home and saw the egg.... GREEN! And it was pretty darn big for a pullet egg. She must have been working on that one for a while. I'm just thinking about the weird looks I'm going to get when I give away eggs to my friends and neighbors..... Green eggs and ham ....I do not eat them Sam I am....

I think it would be totally awesome if the other easter egger gives us a nice robin blue egg to go with the green and different brown eggs we are getting.

Awww, she is gorgeous! Congrats on your first egg. I can't wait to get more, I only have one right now. Her name is cookie and she's 7 1/2 years old. She hasn't laid an egg in a long time though.

we just got 3 EE hens a few weeks ago and they all should start soon
