New born chick with bowel loop stuck outside

Please look at the pictures. They are a little fuzzy as it was close up and I was rushing but basically it looks like a chick was stuck to the egg by the sac and seemed to have pulled itself inside out!! I don't know, cos I was at work but I found it with the shell stuck to itself and a big loop of bowel/ intestines/ something from it's insides sticking out of it's abdomen.
Is there anything I can do to push it back? Is it better to 'put it down/ destroy it' before it suffers too much.

I am super new to this but had this experience with kittens. The problem is infection. Even if you could push it back in and cover it, it will probably cause internal infection and kill it slowly. You should probably put it down. I read on here an easy, painless way to do it is baking soda and vinegar in an airtight container. We used this for a chick attack by our dog and it went very quickly. So sorry!!!

I have no experience with this for chicks. None.

The condition in humans is gastroschisis, and a baby needs immediate surgery after birth.

The risk is that the bowel will dry out, the skin around the opening can cut off blood supply and the bowel becomes necrotic (die) and cause a massive infection. The opening in the abdomen is a direct route for bacteria to enter the body. And there's a chance the bowel is torn inside, so there could be a leak to cause peritonitis.

My instinct is this is a very difficult thing to recover from even for human infants with great medical care. I am not optimistic for your little one, sadly.

I don't know if he's suffering right now.
