I hatched out some EE's the other day. One in particular is huge. Does new born chick size have any indication of gender?

No, the size has nothing at all to do with gender.[IMG]

LMAO I hope so...though Nikki Roo makes some BIG babys

This one I bet my flock is a boy ...he is still struggling...but a fighter

Nikki has made some of the best additions to our family over the past year......I think once you get "in tune" with your own chickens charachteristics you know if its a boy or girl...or in this case...a MONSTER!

    ~Tiff~

PS .........Nikki was a "mistake" from a hatchery...now he is one of my faves...and just had his 1 yr birthday (so we gave him 5 more girls, LOL.........the big boy Nikki weighed in at 26 pounds 3 months ago!!!
Gotta love this big boy!!! Lets me hold him, went through a foot issue, and lets ALL THE KIDS in the neighborhood hold HIS girls.

Quote:Wow! That's huge. What breed is he?

And when you say "mistake" do you mean he was supposed to be a pullet or they gave you the wrong variety?
