I have gone with feet size and comb size...right after hatching and never been wrong...............

This one I bet my flock is a boy ...he is still struggling...but a fighter

Nikki has made some of the best additions to our family over the past year......I think once you get "in tune" with your own chickens charachteristics you know if its a boy or girl...or in this case...a MONSTER!

PS .........Nikki was a "mistake" from a hatchery...now he is one of my faves...and just had his 1 yr birthday (so we gave him 5 more girls, LOL.........the big boy Nikki weighed in at 26 pounds 3 months ago!!!
Gotta love this big boy!!! Lets me hold him, went through a foot issue, and lets ALL THE KIDS in the neighborhood hold HIS girls.

he is a LF buff cochin...we ordered all pullets....exotic layers......(got him with all the girlies)........and would not trade him for the world!!!!!!!!!!! this boy is awesome!!!
