I am going to start working on a new standard breed bird. Here is my wish list for this project.

- Lays Tan Eggs
- Has A Medium Sized Crest (Like A Legbar)
- Any Color
- Decent Size (At Least Five Pounds)
- Semi Docile
- Decent Broodiness
- Rose Comb

The things I don't want are:

- Feathered Legs
- Silkie Feathers
- Bantams
- Green Egg Layer
- Single Comb

The breeds I have to work with are: Buff-Laced Polish, Silver-Laced Polish, White Plymouth Rock, Barred Plymouth Rock, Buff-Orpington, Black Sumatra, and A Black Breasted Brownred American Game (I would prefer not to use the last one, but it is possible). Thanks!

There is already at least one breed in the US that matches what you want, the Icelandic. Why not just get some of them?
X2... generally if you look enough there's already a bird that matches or comes real close to your requirements already... re-creating the wheel is tough.
If you're just doing it for fun then that doesn't matter but if you truly want a bird like that it's best to find an established one and help it out a bit.

I agree, if it's just for fun go for it. But there are already so many different established breeds that already fits that idea.

In middle school I liked to create all kinds of colored mixes, then turn them into naked necks lol. Dominecker mixed with a few different other breeds, would give me red, white, grey, and black speckled birds. Then once I got a color I liked I would cross it with a Turken and play around until I got a turken with the fancy color types. It was just fun to play around and see the different combos. And I liked to bring them to the auctions and watch all the old farmers flock around looking at them haha.

Are you raising them for meat, eggs, to sale, for personal consumption?

Okay, first off, this is a project that I am doing just to be a maniac. Secondly, I will change it a bit so that they are slightly different. Or I might just go buy some Hamburg Bantams, and cross them with my Old English Game Bantams. But one thing is for sure, I want to try to make my own concoction of chicken, instead of buying a breed. If I do the Old English thing, I think I will breed OEGB x SSH, then take the best result, and breed it to an AGB.

Then why did you not say that in the first post? You said you wanted to create a new breed, not just mix birds you have for fun. Still, I don't think you can get to where you want to be with what you have.
