I am planning on hatching chicks in the spring and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on some breeds! I have lavenders, buffs, Americana's and some mixed breeds, I want some good layers and and a whole lot of color! I also have a mystery breed i really like and would like to know what she is , will add a picture in a little bit!

Speckled Sussex are super pretty and are good layers. Barnevelders are also very pretty and come in multiple different colors and pattern combinations.

Any idea what breeds? I hatched both from random eggs I got for eating but decided to hatch them instead. Lol

I agree with what Clover said about Barnevelders and Speckled Sussex, and I further suggest Cochins! Both the bantam and the large fowl versions are awesome. They are incredibly docile and vary greatly in color types! ;)

Any double laced colors, partridge, speckled or a mix of those.
I have never heard of a Barnevelder, I will have to look that up!😁
