I had to share my new brooder. My 4 and 3 week chicks were outgrowing their rubbermaid container and they were getting the brooder litter in their water and food faster than I could clean. I had to find a new solution.
Went into my garage and located a wardrobe box, which came with a roosting pole (the pole used for hanging clothes). Took part of the box and made a wall with a hole to separate water/feed area from rest of brooder. Feeder/Water area has paper towel floors and rest of brooder dried corn litter. The chicks seem to love it so far and the feed/water area is staying much cleaner.
