New build... forgive the pace

So this may be a bit of a slow build, chicks aren't due for another week, we work midnights and still renovating our new house...however I remain excited and motivated.. we went today and got our supplies. $400 later not including new tools we needed im still happy I talked myself out of the flimsy kits. We found our 5x6 plans on Ebay for $10

Keep us updated on the progress. You'll be happier that you didn't go with one of those flimsy kids and your chickens will be even more happy you didn't. It would've cost you over $400 to buy one big enough to actually make the chickens happy

so, we finished all the walls and frame. So far so good... screws were much easier than nails which the plans called for. Screws were much more expensive, twice the cost of nails but so worth it. Chicks come tomorrow!
