Hi everyone,, I signed too here some time ago,, but didn't own chickens then.
I'm totally a newbie too owning a chicken, (2-6wk old chicks) , and wish I could remember what kind they are,, I'll be quick to finding that info out again. They are exotic and will remain small. I'm in trouble already with one not growing, & with what I believe to be Wry neck! Hoping thou get some help in helping her too survive!! As well as having a long happy relationship with you all here If anyone has successfully braced a baby chicks neck, would truly love to hear back from you

It also tends to be common in the Silkie breed. No brace is needed. It can also be caused by a peck to the head. Some silkies , ones with vaulted skulls, tend to have areas where the skull didn't harden over completely. So they are at higher risk.

Generally the affected birds do not die from wry neck, some owners/caretakers get tired of
of looking after them and put them down. Gentle upward massaging of neck can be of
some help. You may also use the search function at top of page to check out "Wry Neck."
