New BYC Incubation Term.. IBW (PIPS! A CHICK!)

Definitely IBW here, and yet half have hatched when no one was watching. I haven't had the TV on in days, and last night while I was staring in the bator, one of the kids asked if I was going to sleep there.

I see IBW and I think IBS

I thought this was going to be a term for the time they went into the incubator until they hatched.....as in "I Be Waiting."

I thought of that, too, LOL. Or Irritable Broody Syndrome!

Then I've got both IBW and IBS going on here.

Iris is doing fine, even got her to put some weight back on.

She's gotten used to our routine of taking her out for a few minutes each day, she doesn't even fuss about it now.

5 of the 6 eggs have text book perfect development and 1 is kind of questionable.

Irritable Bator Syndrome!

The list is ENDLESS

I love it - kinda like Dh - it means whatever you want it to mean

OMG, I'm gonna need cheat sheets to remember all this....lol.

I made the mistake last year of putting one of the bators in my bedroom... you don't sleep, all you do is stare

at the glowing box across the room.
And when the end is near and they start to rock and pip, you're off the bed and across the room quicker than if you took a water pill before you laid down !!!

Good luck with the babies !!!
