New BYC'er

My name is Steven I bought a nice little piece of East Texas last year. Having a pond I thought why not get a few ducks. This year I decided to try chickens. An old lady recently gave me a couple of Chinese geese and now this place is starting to look like a farm.
My animals include mallard, peking, rouen, white chinese, brown chinese, rhoad island red, batnam, cornish rock, leghorn, and araucana. A few mixes in there but we love them the same. I'll try to add some pictures soon.

Sounds like you have a nice flock! I'd love to keep ducks and geese as well as my chickens, but don't have the space. Good luck with your birds.

My geese I got from an old lady that was tired of them pooping on her car port. She said they were male female pair but I keep finding the white in a new nest each day. The brown is definately a girl. I don't know if he is helping sit or if he is actually a she. If anyone could lay my doubts to rest I would greatly appreciate it. I've seen some humping but wasn't close enough to confirm hookup.
