new chic with new chicks...

I am new to BYC AND to raising chickens! We live in the beautiful state of the Arctic, or lovingly known as Michigan ;-) My husband and I and our five little ones just purchased our dream home (a farm house built in 1888) with the perfect property and location! What better thing to do than grow our family?!?!?!! So we added to our family of seven and one trusty dog, two new kitties and 8 (so far) baby chicks.
I have a LOT to learn still so I am hoping to glean a LOT from all you experienced and knowledgeable BYC members!
