New chick, bad leg

Hello guys!

I finished a hatch on Sunday. Saturday, I helped a chick out of the shell. Very feisty one that wants to live.

It drinks and eats, but have a bad leg. Got another one with similar problem that I was able to fix with a splint.

The splint didn't help this little Faverolles however.

Went to see the vet today to vaccine everyone for Marek. He had a look at it and made a face.

I'm wondering if there's anything a can do. More than a spraddle leg, there's a rotation on the subject from the joint.

Is there anyway to tape this and correct that leg so that it can use it? It hobbles on one for now.

Looks like slipped tendon unfortunately. I'll link my thread below. If you start treating now theres a chance you can correct it and she will be okay. Sadly, my thread didn't get a happy ending, but it does have a lot of good links and info. Hopefully yours well end different than mine. Crossing my fingers for you both!

Try some chick vitamins that include B2 riboflavin. Or 1/4 tablet of human super B complex vitamins crushed into a spoonful and water and given orally. Here is a thread about a slipped tendon in a peachick, and begin on page 2 post 11:
